As per the government's call, 1.4 lakh CCTV cameras are going to be put in across town under the project that aims to make sure women safety in Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislators, in their respective constituencies, are distributing a form titled "undertaking" to people who wish to put in a CCTV camera on the outside wall of their house.

The government can offer the grant to such residents for the consumption of electricity in the functioning of the CCTV camera, AAP lawmaker Surinder Singh told PTI. "There are going to be no burden on residents who wish to induce a CCTV camera put in on the wall of their house because the government can offer a subsidy for it. "In the shape, residents can mention their CA number or electricity meter number except for their mobile number to avail the subsidy from the govt," Mr. Singh, the assembly lawmaker from Delhi Cantt, said.
